Baker McKenzie.Wong & Leow

Michael Nixon is a partner and the head of the transfer pricing team at Baker McKenzie Wong & Leow. He has 16 years of experience in transfer pricing consulting and academia. His experience is focused on transfer pricing controversy, intellectual property valuations and business restructuring. The firm includes economists, tax lawyers and advisers based in its other Asia offices and in other parts of the firm’s global network. The team assists clients with compliance, planning, restructuring, quantitative modelling and valuations. Its clients involve multinationals and Singaporean companies.

In 2017, Benchi Klaver was hired by the firm as an economist.


Evelyn Lim and Harsh Shah lead the transfer pricing practice at BDO. The team includes one partner and five other fee earners. They assist clients with planning and testing studies, benchmarking analysis, APAs, business restructuring, audit defence and dispute resolution. Evelyn Lim has previously worked at big four firms and has more than 20 years of experience in international tax. Harsh Shah has more than 12 years of transfer pricing experience in India and Singapore. He advises clients on transfer pricing documentation, obtaining advance rulings, negotiating APAs and obtaining cross-border tax relief under MAPs.

Harsh Shah and Prerna Bathija are advising a listed ship building group on global transfer pricing documentation. The team helps the client prepare global transfer pricing documentation including master file and local file in line with Action 13 of BEPS. They also take advantage of the firm’s network that assists with the review and customisation of the local files.


See Jee Chang, a tax partner, is the head of the transfer pricing team at Deloitte. He has worked with the local tax authorities on international tax and transfer pricing issues for many years. His experience includes negotiating and concluding double tax agreements and APAs. He has also previously served as the competent authority of Singapore. The team provides services involving transfer pricing methodology and documentation, APAs, examination defence and MAP/CA and business model optimisation. 

The team has represented clients looking to negotiate and conduct APAs with the Singaporean revenue authorities across different industries, including pharmaceutical, electronics, mining and IT. The team also conducts bilateral APAs with countries such as Japan, Australia and France. In addition, Deloitte Singapore has developed several technology tools such as Deloitte CbC Digital Exchange and Deloitte TP Digital DoX.

Dentons Rodyk & Davidson

The firm provides legal counsel and consulting services on transactional matters, such as inbound and outbound investments, and structuring. Dentons Rodyk & Davidson offers a wide range of tax practices, including advising on corporate and individual income tax, international tax planning, transfer pricing, goods and services tax and stamp duties.

The firm assisted a client with tax and transfer pricing matters arising from various inter-company loans in the trust structure. In the project, the firm considered the applicability of the transfer pricing principle on loans entered into between two Singapore-related companies.


Luis Coronado is the head of the transfer pricing team at EY. He is also the Asean head of international tax. The team has approximately 75 full time transfer pricing experts who come from different business fields involving accounting, business economics, law, engineering and finance. It also has former transfer pricing professionals from the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS). The team practice includes transfer pricing planning, accounting, compliance and controversy. In addition, the team works with its multi-disciplinary operating model effectiveness (OME) team. It helps clients to establish, manage, document, review and defend transfer pricing policies and processes. EY has a deep experience from working in Japan, Australia, the Greater China region, India and South Korea. The team has also been involved in APAs, including bilateral APAs and unilateral APAs.

Luis Coronado helped a client in a matter concerning the design and implementation of operating transfer pricing procedures when transforming a global supply chain supply model. In this case, EY specifically provided its operational transfer pricing service that focused on IT implementation capabilities and expertise to satisfy the client’s whole needs. In addition, the team also advised the client on embarking on a full business restructure of its business and transactional model.


Geoffrey Soh is a partner and the head of the transfer pricing practice at KPMG. The team is also supported by partner Felicia Chia and 35 other fee earners. The team consists of economists, tax practitioners, lawyers, accountants and financial analysts. All professionals practice transfer pricing compliance and disputes. They advise clients on documentation requirements, MAPs and APAs, and optimal structures. Geoffrey Soh has 19 years of experience assisting clients with transfer pricing matters. His projects have involved compliance, tax planning, audit defence and dispute resolution. Soh’s clients come from different sectors including financial services and shipping. Chia has 13 years of experience helping multinationals in Singapore and other jurisdictions. Her practice involves planning and documentation, audit defence and transfer pricing risk analysis.


Paul Lee is the head of the transfer pricing practice at RSM. The practice includes documentation compliance, policy formulation and implementation, planning and value chain transformation, risk assessment and controversy management, audit defence and APAs. The firm also assists clients with transfer pricing issues regarding related party transactions.

Elis Tan and Wesley Chua advised a client who is based and headquartered in Singapore on transfer pricing documentation. The firm provided a wide range of services for client, including assisting the group to review an intra-group transaction, assessing transfer pricing risk and making recommendations for efficient transfer pricing compliance and risk management. In addition, the team also helped the client prepare Singapore master file and local file documentation.

In 2017, the firm expanded by hiring Albert Fong as an associate director.

Transfer Pricing Solutions Asia

Adriana Calderon is the head of the transfer pricing team at Transfer Pricing Solutions Asia. The team has 13 professionals who have previously worked with the big four firms. The firm has a wide range of practices, including documentation and compliance, transfer pricing planning and BEPS, transfer pricing benchmarking, transfer pricing controversy and audits, and transfer pricing policy preparation. They provide education and training and have been trained in leading markets involving Australia, Europe and the US. In addition, the firm is also the Singapore member of Altus Alliance. Altus Alliance is a global network of independent transfer pricing advisors with a presence in 21 countries.

In the past year, the firm led more than 13 transfer pricing workshops as an educational campaign for Singapore and the region. The workshops included transfer pricing documentation and benchmarking, managing transfer pricing in Asia and a new transfer pricing reporting form.

In 2018, Hong Chuan Tan joined the firm as a consultant. He has experience of transfer pricing documentation and planning, intercompany loans documentation, design and implementation of transfer pricing policies and benchmarking and economic analysis.
